I’m back for another Makeup review Monday jam packed with my favorite products at the moment! And yes this means I have spent all of my Sephora gift cards from the holidays…and then some! So lets get started!!
As someone with combination skin, it is hard to find a primer that will get rid of my shine without drying out my skin and making it appear dull. This primer has been my holy grail in a long search of products. It applies so nicely and doesn’t feel heavy. It evens out my pores and my favorite part! It is cruelty free!!!!
I am writing this on only my second day of using this product and I am absolutely OBSESSED! I have been using the NARS: Velvet Matte Skin Tint in the shade Finland (Light 1) since December but have found that it was making my skin look dull and dry, so I was looking for a change. The Too Faced foundation comes in a cute little pump and is a mix between liquid and cream that provides the perfect medium coverage for my skin. It definitely makes my skin appear more flawless and I really love it! (I will keep you guys updated as I continue to use this product)
I was originally exposed to this product in a sample size I received from Sephora for my birthday gift! (If you don’t have their rewards program, Sign up now!) It adds the perfect finish to my foundation routine and helps balance out any extra shine I may be seeing. As compared to drugstore products like the e.l.f: High Definition Powder in the shade Sheer, It does a better job for the full face. I still use the e.l.f powder for baking under my eyes.
I picked this product up with really no expectations but e.l.f usually has good products. I had previously been using the Laura Geller: Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in the shade Gilded Honey. Because I am so fair skinned this color was appearing really orange and was hard to blend. I was completely impressed with the e.l.f highlighter! It is the perfect pink toned highlighter and it is extremely blend-able.
I have used a lot of different products for my brows in the past years because of how sparsely my natural brows grow. I had been using the e.l.f.: Brow Kit in the shade medium, but when I dyed my hair black it was hard to find a product I liked that didn’t look ridiculously dark. I picked this product up expecting to really hate it, but I was blown away. It is the perfect shade for me at this time and not too expensive. I have found that as you use it, the tip becomes less pointed (as any crayon does) which makes it a little bit more difficult to apply, but once you get used to it then it isn’t so bad. And having to adjust your hand position is a small price to pay for such an amazing product.
I am not going to say too much here because I have already reviewed this product but the fact that it is still on the list has to say something. I have been using this product for a few months now and I continue to be impressed with it. (complete your eye look by pairing it with the Too Faced: Sketch Marker eyeliner in the shade black)
Last but certainly not least, lips! Lipsticks (especially liquids) are my favorite part of every look. I originally started using the NYX collection because it is a dupe for many of the Kylie Cosmetic colors (and you all know how much I love my Kylie Kits!). But I can’t afford to buy every color so I of course am looking for a dupe. I got the NYX advent calendar with all 12 of the original shade of lipstick & 12 of the matching eyeshadows (which are incredible as well). The shades are beautiful, the wear is amazing, and I can’t get enough of the matte lipstick trend!
I hope you guys enjoyed my picks for this month and you can find any of these products through their hyperlinks right here in this article. If there is something you would like me to review further or if you have suggestions please let me know!
Until then… Happy Highlighting and Flawless Lashes,
